An Ode to Massin
"Visual composition and explorations in typography creation"
Visual pollution grows day by day, and it becomes increasingly difficult to stand out from the crowd. This was the subject of a text we had to edit. The point of the project was to play around with the legibility and visibility of the text.
It was an opportunity for me to play around with images and text, I created a simple font called “porylius” and used masks in Photoshop to complicate the reading of the words while trying to keep a certain esthetic. One problem was the drawings situated on the center of the page, the cut across the center fold could break the image. I figured out a way to glue the pages together and keep the print on the fold intact.
