The Geneva International Motor Show
"The flow of particles in the wind as a tool to generate posters"
As the 2013 Geneva motor show was coming up, my university was approached to design the poster for the year after. We were invited to go and see the show and after being inspired, it was time to get going. Wind was my concept for this project. What interested me was the wind tunnel in which the cars are tested and how it shapes around the forms of a car. For the poster I thought of bringing that aspect back with the letters. The letters became the car and the wind would shape around them.
I developed a program to generate the path of the wind thanks to Processing. That gave thousands of tweaking possibilities and gave me more time to concentrate on the positioning of the letters than the actual drawing of the wind.
