Le Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève

"Works in animation to accompany the prize announcements"

Every year in Geneva, the “Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève” takes place. It is an event where the best creations in the watch industry receive a prize. There are several categories for the prizes: complication, gender, cost… We were asked to create the videos played while the winner was announced.

Prize of the female gender complexity

For the prize of the female gender complexity, I turned to the solar system and more precisely, the moon, which represents the female gender, and the different cycles it has and how it affects women. This represents the idea of time and complicated systems quite effectively.

Jewelry prize

For the prize of jewelry in watches, I worked with a team, each of us taking part in creating the final video which showed diamonds and peacock feathers, presenting the idea of “peacocking” and flashiness. The animation was created in 3D and then processed in after effects to give it the extra touch of realism.

Prize of the male gender watch

The man’s watch prize was also a team project. Here we wanted to play with the idea of connection between man and the watch. We showed that through an elegant dance with the idea of flowing time that you try to catch up with.
